I am currently a student teacher Hudson Middle school in Garland ISD teaching 8th grade science. I previously worked as an animal caretaker and teacher at the Holifield Science Learning Center with Plano ISD and I am a senior at UT Dallas in the UTeach program. I LOVE science- especially the concepts in which biology and geology overlap! Through the UTeach program, I have also taught at the elementary, middle school, and high school level at Richardson ISD and McKinney ISD.

I worked at the Children's Aquarium at Fair Park/Dallas Zoo as a keeper feeding many aquatic animals including endangered species, sharks, rays, and an octopus. I gave keeper talks and many school tours there. In 2013 I received an NSF grant to study geology in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and joined Club Scientific Dallas as a Site Director. In 2014 I was a presenter at the UTeach Conference in Austin. I am also certified in first Aid/AED/CPR.

In my spare time I have volunteered for many science organizations such as the Perot Museum of Natural Science and History and the Lewisville Aquatic Research Center. I hold an endangered species collection permit through Texas Parks and Wildlife for scientific research on freshwater mussels.  I enjoy hiking, photography, gardening, and spending time with my family.
